Point-source capture of carbon using algae without pre-treatment of flue gasses

Carbon BioCapture patented a scalable microalgal point-source capture technology that is unique in that industrial gases require no pre-treatment; i.e., it works with “raw gas” diverted from the stack via a pipeline to the PBR array or “carbon farm”. Its Carbon Capture as a Service business model requires no investment from the GHG emitter. Large scale PBR arrays (“carbon farms”) remove a high tonnage of CO₂ from “dirty” emissions from fossil fuels such as coal, which contains 13% CO₂, pollutants like NOx, SOx, and heavy metals, or form “cleaner” flue gases from natural gas combustion.
