CEMEX

CEMEX is deploying hydrogen technology as part of the fuel mix of its cement plants to reduce CO2 emissions. This innovative approach, which emits zero CO2 from combustion, enables further reduction of fossil fuels, improves energy efficiency, and is another milestone towards its ambitious CO2 emissions reduction targets. After a successful trial in Spain in 2019, all CEMEX cement plants in Europe use hydrogen as part of their fuel mix. The company is moving fast to deploy the technology throughout its global operations. This initiative is a critical component of CEMEX´s climate action program: Future in Action.
