Background
Civil Engineer with an MSc in Advanced Materials for Sustainable Infrastructures from Imperial College London, UK, and currently a PhD researcher in Physical Chemistry at Université Bourgogne Europe, France.
Research topic
My research focuses on understanding the early-age reactivity and ion-complexation from the effects of alkanolamines in low-carbon cement systems.
Greetings, my name is Nabila Intan Nurcahya from Indonesia, and I am honoured to be appointed as one of the PhD representatives for Innovandi.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology and my master’s degree in Advanced Materials for Sustainable Infrastructures from Imperial College London. Since March 2025, I have been pursuing a PhD in Physical Chemistry at Université Bourgogne Europe. In between my studies, I once worked as civil engineer in both structural design and construction processes. This experience sparked my interest in the environmental challenges associated with cement and concrete use. Today, my research focuses on understanding the early-age reactivity and ion-complexation from the effects of alkanolamines in low-carbon cement systems. Through my role as a PhD representative, I hope to contribute to a supportive, collaborative, and engaging research community within the Innovandi network.
