Innovandi – Global Cement and Concrete Research Network announces upcoming events

INNOVANDI – the Global Cement and Concrete Research Network (GCCRN), has announced its upcoming series of events for the rest of the year to accelerate the development of research projects to lower the CO₂ footprint of cement and concrete.

The events follow the success of the Innovandi Kick-off Week in June 2020, its inaugural online meeting which attracted 654 attendees from 5 continents, with all 70 Partners from Industry and Academia represented.

INNOVANDI PARTNER PROJECT SESSIONS

These online sessions will take place from the 14^th to the 18^th September and will showcase Innovandi Partner Projects from Academic Institutions around the globe. These projects align with key themes directly relevant to industry as we push towards our sustainability goals. The aim of the sessions is to stimulate discussion between Industry and Academia and lay the groundwork for future collaboration.

INNOVANDI AUTUMN WEEK

Innovandi Autumn week will take place from 28^th September – 1^st October and will focus on developing Core Projects for launch. The projects, which are financed by Innovandi Industrial Partners, will be focussed on key topics agreed during a research road mapping exercise with leaders from industry at the GCCA Annual Conference in Singapore, 2019.  

2020 has seen 70 companies and Institutes from around the globe become Innovandi Partners. Combined they bring a wealth of scientific knowledge and an extensive array of facilities to the network.  

We will also be using new software to add some of the fun and social interaction of traditional meetings into the online event, while we wait to meet face-to-face.
