Blended Cement: Green, Durable & Sustainable
We are glad to share our report on the Benefits of Blended Cement – developed in collaboration with NCCBM (National Council for Cement & Building Materials) and inputs from the GCCA India member companies, Dr. Manu Santhanam (IIT Madras), Dr. Shashank Bishnoi (IIT – Delhi), and Dr. Karen Scrivener (Chair – GCCA Innovandi Academic Network). The report discusses the advantages of Blended Cement over Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) in terms of the environment, emissions, and longevity; and the misapprehensions about the use of Blended Cement, which affect its acceptance.
On 13th April 2022, the report was released by Shri. Anil Agrawal, Additional Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. He was joined by – Mr Parth Jindal, Chair – GCCA India and MD-JSW Cement, Mr. Mahendra Singhi, MD & CEO, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (Project sponsor) and Mr. Thomas Guillot, CEO, GCCA.
The report e-release was followed by an engaging panel discussion consisting of renowned stalwarts from the cement and concrete industry, research institutes, and academic institutes – who connected on the highlights from the report.
