Over the last two years an expert group has revised and updated the Protocol to make some fundamental changes to current reporting and to include new developments in reporting of CCUS, calcined clay and recarbonation. The training will enable members to: • Gain in-depth knowledge from industry-leading trainers on V4.2 of the GCCA Cement CO2 and Energy Protocol. • Master the calculation of Scope 1 and 2 emissions according to the updated protocol. • Develop practical skills through interactive tutorials. • Earn a valuable training certificate upon successful completion of the program. This intensive 3-day on-site training, offered in collaboration with our trusted partner European Cement Research Academy (ECRA), provides a comprehensive understanding of the updated protocol and its practical application. The course is a train the trainer model, where one or two company representatives are trained directly by ECRA and they then receive all the material to train others within their company. When you complete a registration with the GCCA, you agree to our payment terms below – we do not accept any other payment terms. Within these terms… • We refer to the GCCA as GCCA, We, Us, Our etc • We refer to the person placing the booking as the nominator • We refer to the person attending the training as the delegate • When we refer to in-person training, this is training delivered to the nominated delegate attending in person at the venue where the course is being delivered. ________________________________________ 1. Acceptance of bookings 1.1 Our website guides you through the booking process. All details can be reviewed before completing the booking, so please take the time to read and check the details at each stage. 1.2 All bookings are subject to availability and we have the right to reject a booking. If we do not accept your booking, we will inform you by email as soon as possible. 1.3 Once a booking has been made for the course you will receive an automatic email confirming that we have received the booking. Upon GCCA receiving the registration, the booking is deemed as confirmed. 1.4 If you have not received a booking confirmation and receipt within 72 hours (Monday to Friday) of your booking, please email Viktoria Kostolna 1.5 Please note that we do not add entries to delegate’s diaries and calendars – it is the nominator’s responsibility to inform delegates of the training they have been booked on. 2. Payment & invoices 2.1 Payment for training is required at registration stage. It is the nominator’s responsibility to ensure all necessary communication is shared with the relevant people and that payment terms are met. 2.2 All bookings should be made by credit card as part of registration. 2.3 We reserve the right to refuse entry to the course if the fee is not received in full before the date of the course. 3. Cancellations & transfers 3.1 If a delegate can no longer attend the course date, they can nominate another person to attend the same course date in their place. If the GCCA is notified more than 28 days before the course start date there will be no charge. Any substitutions made less than 28 days before the course start date will incur a £25 admin fee. This must be confirmed in writing to Viktoria Kostolna 3.2 If a delegate needs to cancel their place on the training course, you must notify the GCCA via email to Viktoria Kostolna more than 28 days before the course start date. You will receive a full refund less an admin fee of £100. If you cancel your place less than 28 days before the course start date, you will not be entitled to a refund. 4. If you fail to attend the course you are booked onto without giving prior notice to the GCCA, we will be unable to refund any course fees. 5. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the training after receipt of a booking. Any such changes will be notified to the nominator as soon as possible and alternative options will be offered. Where a suitable alternative is not offered, we will reimburse any course fees paid in full. Our liability will be limited to the value of the course fees paid only. 4. Training course terms 4.1 Joining instructions are generally provided at the time of booking along with the invoice. If they are not, they will be provided at least 7 days before the course date. If you have not received them at this point, please email Viktoria Kostolna. The joining instructions are sent to the nominator, who should then distribute them to delegates. 4.2 GCCA are not responsible for any non-attendances as a result of not receiving joining instructions and course details – it is the nominator and delegate’s responsibility to ensure they have received all communications and instructions. 4.3 The venue for the training will take place at ECRA facility, Toulouser Allee 71, Dusseldorf, Germany. 4.4 All delegates must come equipped to the course with a notebook, mouse and a clean USB stick for the classroom tutorials. We will not refund any portion of course fees due to delegates not able to attend due to not having the correct equipment with them. 4.5 The Training course is a 3-day course • 2.5 days practical training • 0.25 day exam Accommodation, travel costs and travel times of the delegates are not included in the price. Travel days are excluded from the training course schedule and are subject to the delegates own planning. For dates of the actual training course, please refer to the registration form. 5. Any course materials provided to delegates must not be copied or distributed to any other party without prior written permission. 5.2 ECRA make every effort to ensure accuracy within their courses and printed materials. GCCA and our course presenters cannot accept any responsibility for errors contained within these materials – this includes course documentation, slides and brochures. 5.3 Information and guidance provided both during and after a course is based on best available information at the time of communication and does not constitute professional advice.
