Alex Dewar

Managing Partner and Global CCUS Lead, BCG

Alex Dewar leads Boston Consulting Group’s work in climate change in power and utilities industries globally. As a core member of the firm’s Energy practice, he works with a wide range of energy, financial, and industrial sector clients on climate change and energy transition topics. 

At BCG, Alex is a leading global expert on decarbonization and energy markets, specifically: evaluation of low carbon technologies (particularly CCUS, hydrogen, biofuels, and carbon removal); use of climate scenarios and sector-specific transition pathways; climate target-setting, decarbonization roadmap development, and implementation in natural gas and liquid natural gas markets (he previously co-led that work globally at BCG); and climate and energy policy assessment, focusng on corporate strategy and portfolio implications.  

From 2017 to 2021 Alex was a senior director at the Center for Energy Impact, BCG’s think tank on energy and climate.
