Paul Adeleke appointed Communications and Policy Director for Global Cement and Concrete Association

The Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) today completed the formation of its executive team with the appointment of Paul Adeleke as Communications and Policy Director. He will take up the role later this month and will be based at the association’s offices in London.

Paul joins the GCCA from RICS (the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) where he has been Interim Global Communications Director. Paul will report to GCCA Chief Executive, Benjamin Sporton.

In his new role, Paul will work on developing the GCCA’s outreach and engagement strategy to achieve global recognition of concrete as the sustainable building material of choice.

Prior to RICS, Paul worked for Philip Morris International, for seven years in a range of senior communications and reputation roles, working out of London, Dublin and Switzerland. Earlier in his career Paul worked in various communication roles across UK government and business, and advised a range of sectors on political, policy and communications issues. Paul holds an Honours Degree in Politics and a Civil Service qualification in Public Service Delivery.

This appointment means the composition of the GCCA executive team is now complete. CEO Benjamin Sporton commenced with the organisation on 8 October. He will be joined by Claude Loréa as Cement Director and Andrew Minson as Concrete and Sustainable Construction Director in the coming months.
