GCCA India released a report on ‘Comparative Evaluation of Embodied Carbon of High Rise and Low Rise buildings.’

GCCA India is pleased to announce the release of our report titled “Comparative Evaluation of Embodied Carbon in High-Rise and Low-Rise Buildings,” developed in collaboration with the Low Carbon Construct Forum (LCCF).

The report was released on September 13, 2025, at IIT Bombay in association with the Indian Concrete Institute (Mumbai Centre). The release ceremony included speakers such as Dr. Ramachandra, President of the Indian Concrete Institute, Mr. Suresh V. Patil, Director of GCCA India, Mr. Manoj Rustagi, Director of GCCA India, and Dr. Abhay Bambole, Chair of the ICI Mumbai Centre.

Following the release, Mr. Vijay Kulkarni (Director and Founder of the Low Carbon Construct Forum), presented the findings of the report. This was followed by a panel discussion on strategies and policy alignment for reducing embodied carbon in Indian buildings. The discussion featured key stakeholders, including structural consultants, architects, and industry representatives.
