With the ongoing situation in the Middle East, we have taken the very difficult decision to change the arrangements for our planned GCCA Gathering in June in Dubai.

The safety and wellbeing of our members and all potential delegates remains paramount. We have also had to factor in other elements such as members’, speakers’, and stakeholders’ willingness to travel – even if, as we all hope, the situation resolves itself soon.
To confirm – the planned Dubai Conference in June 2026 will not now take place. It will be replaced by a scaled-back but strategically important 1.5 day event for member company CEOs held in a European city hub around the same dates, including the GCCA Board of Directors meeting.
There are several critical elements to address, and the 1.5 day programme will include key discussions on:
- renewed strategic priorities and focus for the GCCA and the industry going forward
- dialling up the positive positioning of our essential materials
- the ongoing transition, financing mechanisms and opportunities

This decision is of course disappointing for us, having worked hard to establish our gathering as the key date in the calendar for the GCCA family and beyond. However, we know that there are even more important concerns, including for those in the region, as well as wider implications for our world. We hope you will all understand our decision.
