Co-processing – TCC

DAKA Renewable Resource Recycling Center (RRRC) is Taiwan’s first facility to use high-temperature cement kilns for treating municipal waste. Developed by TCC Group Holdings (TCC), it aims to set a global benchmark for sustainable waste management.

Construction began in July 2021, and the center was licensed in December 2023. Cement kilns offer three key advantages—high temperature, strong turbulence, and long retention time—making them ideal for waste treatment.

With an investment of over NTD 4 billion, RRRC combines TCC’s cement expertise with international waste management experience to tackle municipal waste challenges.
Between July 2023 and August 2025, RRRC processed more than 82,000 tons of waste, reduced coal use at the Heping Plant by 3%, cut 43,000 tons of CO₂ emissions, and prevented 4,000 tons of methane from landfills.

This project demonstrates how circular economy principles and low-carbon solutions can be applied in cement production.
