Title:
Aesthetics of nature and architecture
Description:
Ufuk Turpcan @trpcn Location: Ankara, Turkey "Maiden's Hill Natural Monument" located in the Nallıhan district of Ankara in Turkey creates a natural wonder with its soil structure with red, brown, grey and yellow tones. The wetland in front of the "Maiden's Hill Natural Monument" is like a bird paradise with the variety of birds it harbours. The aesthetic and architectural structure of the bridge over the wetland, with its bird communities in every season, its geological value and the aesthetic and architectural structure of the bridge over the wetland adds beauty to the beauty of the region. Since concrete is used in bridge constructions, bridges are generally long-lasting and resistant to various environmental conditions. Moreover, thanks to the mouldable feature of concrete, bridge designs can be varied and built in accordance with different architectural and engineering requirements. When I travelled to this region, the unique beauty of the nature and the aesthetic structure of the bridge attracted my attention. I wanted to immortalise this moment by photographing it after I realised that the perspective, symmetry and depth feeling created by the reflection formed by the serenity of nature brought the subject to the forefront.
