Concrete Infrastructure
Description:
Hakan Yarali @hakan_yarali Location: Turkey For years, the Çoruh River flowed without dams in Turkey, but due to its uncontrolled nature, floods caused by rains in different months of the year caused damage to settlements and agricultural lands along its route. With the construction of 10 dams on the river, the Çoruh River has been brought under control and electricity has started to be generated, fish farms have been opened in all of the dam lakes, and income gates have been opened for the people living in this region. One of the biggest uses of concrete is dams, and in this sense, its contribution to our lives is undeniably high, the role of concrete in the photo is the main story of the dams built for the development of countries in the whole story, and in my photo, the main story belongs to concrete. My photograph was taken in 2013 at Arkun Dam in Yusufeli, Artvin, Turkey.
