Urban Concrete
Description:
MD Tanveer Rohan @tanveer.rohan Location: New York, USA New York City's architectural diversity is truly remarkable and reflects the city's dynamic history, cultural richness, and evolving urban landscape. The city's rich history and multicultural population have contributed to the development of numerous architectural styles over the years. VIA 57 WEST is a 35-stories tall residential building located at West 57th Street, Midtown West, Manhattan, NYC. The pyramid-shaped tower block was designed by the Danish architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group for the Durst Organization, and introduces a new typology to New York City - the Courtscraper. It was completed in 2016. Concrete is a primary material for constructing buildings, providing strength and stability. It can withstand heavy loads, making it ideal for supporting the weight of multi-story structures, durability, and versatility during the construction of a structure. Its pyramid-like unique sustainable design with private terraces and balconies caught my attention. This photo was taken from Dog Park in New Jersey.
