Description:
Anna Kropf @emotionphoto_ch Location: Switzerland "The picture was taken in Novazzano, a political municipality in the district of Stabio, in the district of Mendrisio in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. Architecture by Mario Botta, Novazzano Housing Complex, Switzerland, 1992 The picture shows a modern designed room with concrete walls and floors. The room appears minimalist and calm with a focus on geometric shapes and lines. Concrete plays a central role here, as it determines the structure and design of the room. Concrete is a versatile material that can have different effects depending on how it is designed and combined. In this room, concrete seems to have a delicate effect because it is contrasted with warm colors and round shapes. It also creates a sense of calm and stillness because there are no distractions or clutter. The clean lines and raw texture of the concrete contrast with the soft colors of the walls and ceiling. I was drawn to this because it offers a unique aesthetic that is both modern and timeless. Concrete, so hard and cold You're not just gray and old You can also be soft and gentle When you unite with colors and shapes.
