Designed by the world-renowned architect, Arata Isozaki. Founded in partnership with the Qatar Foundation, Weill Cornell Medical-Qatar became the first medical school in Qatar. The collaboration aimed to elevate healthcare by providing access to world-class medical education. The structure comprises of two 200-meter-long halls linked by bridges that house faculty and student lounges. Contemporary in concept and building materials chosen, the construction nonetheless features many references to traditional Islamic and Gulf Architecture with highly articulated geometric patterns on its exterior and interior skins and featuring wind towers in the courtyard.
